The Daily Tea: Are you Composed or Confined?

No quote today. Just thoughts.

In the southern United States, we are taught ultimately to have manners and be polite. I am a fan of keeping your composure, hence the name of the blog. In all situations, it's important to be level headed and practical, not letting passion overtake you. What happens when being too pragmatic and overthinking holds you back?
I've learned that when you want something, go for it. What's the worst that could happen?
Shyness is a pretty way of describing lack of confidence. If you have something to say or someone you want, don't mince words. Say what you feel and don't be afraid of risks. There is always a need for tact and thinking before speaking/leaping, but being "composed" can sometimes leave you "confined" to your own limits.
One can be a lady or a gentleman while still going for what you feel is rightfully yours.
Coy and timid is never cute on an adult. Fortune favors the bold.
