The Daily Tea: Maintain Control of Your Life

From Rihanna's V Magazine interview.
The warning signs with Chris Brown:

“There were control issues, insecurity,” she says. “When people are insecure they become very controlling and they can get very aggressive and in turn abusive. It doesn’t have to be physical. Like they would say bad stuff to you to make you feel lesser than them just so they would have control in the relationship. It takes a big toll on your emotions and on your everyday life. It changes you.”-Rihanna

Relationships are tricky but love doesn't hurt. In friendships, family, and romantic situations, never let anyone take advantage of you and cause you harm. If someone feels like need to belittle you, control you, and lash out at you, there are deeper problems that could lead to more serious situations. Cowardly people resort to force to prove a point. Parents even lose control with their children when they are unable to maintain control of a situation. Children are abused everyday due to their parent's shortcomings. Abuse isn't limited to children. With that being said, no adult should feel the need to control another adult. Insecurity can breed dangerous outcomes. If someone is insecure, there is little that we can truly do to reassure them. It's up to that person to work those things out. Maintain control of your own life. Stay at the helm of your own ship and never let anyone make you feel like less than what you are worth.
