Barack Obama on Letterman

Barack Obama
on The Late Show with David Letterman

Obama is no stranger to the Letterman show having made an appearance there six times. However, this marked the first time that a President has appeared while still in office. He stopped by to discuss race, the economy, and more importantly health care reform.

My favorite quote of the night:

“First of all, I think it’s important to realize that I was actually black before the election," Obama said after being asked if race was the main factor in people's opposition to his health care plans.

Also, the White House has released a 4 minute video in efforts to make it easier to grasp the details of health care reform. It contains excerpts from Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress earlier this month and text outlines of key points of reform.
